The Office of Opportunity and Outreach leads the University's efforts to create a culture of belonging for all. We accomplish our work by serving as a central resource for internal and external community members, highlighting news and programming that foster a collaborative culture.

Climate and Belonging

CARE

Provides free and confidential support, education, advocacy, and resources for UCSF affiliates impacted by interpersonal violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, and relationship violence.

Develops programs, initiatives, and partnerships that foster community engagement, dialogue, learning, and connection.

Disability Resources

Advances disability inclusion, accessibility, and awareness through programs, resources, training, and consultation that foster belonging.

Jewish Life Resource Center

Promotes awareness, education, cultural engagement, and community-building related to Jewish identities, experiences, and heritage.

LGBTQ Resource Center

Promotes education, leadership, visibility, and community engagement that foster LGBTQ inclusion, belonging, and health equity.

Multicultural Resource Center

Advances community engagement, education, and support initiatives that strengthen organizational culture and foster connection and dialogue.

UCSF Community Climate Survey

Conducted every three years, the Community Climate Survey is an opportunity for learners, faculty, and staff across campus and UCSF Health to share their experiences and perceptions of the environment in which they work and learn.

Undocumented Student Support Services

Provides programs, resources, and guidance that support undocumented students, their families, allies, and the broader UCSF community while fostering well-being, access, and belonging

Compliance and Outreach

Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination

The Ofﬁce for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD) supports the University policy prohibiting discrimination and harassment of any person on the basis of their membership in a protected category. As part of this work, OPHD responds to complaints from persons who believe they have been subjected to discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliation on the basis of a protected category or activity.

Center for Science Education and Outreach

The Center for Science Education and Outreach provides programs and services that lead to student academic success, increase college-going rates, and exploration of various STEM careers for the students and schools we serve.
