AI4Health

AI4Health is a NIH Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA)-funded AI-focused career exploration research project to foster interest and knowledge of how AI is integrated into biomedical careers. Through the AI4Health Career Adventure game, the team is investigating the impact of the game on middle school students’ knowledge of, interest in, and self-efficacy for pursuing biomedical careers featuring AI.

The AI4Health project is led by Principal Investigator Elizabeth Ozer, PhD (UCSF), and Co-Investigator James Lester, PhD (North Carolina State University). The team includes UCSF Co-Investigators Carlos Penilla, DrPH; Ralph Gonzales, MD; Ryan Hernandez, PhD; and North Carolina State University Co-Investigators Bradford Mott, PhD, and Jessica Vandenberg, PhD. AI4Health is a collaboration with the UCSF Office of Opportunity and Outreach - Renée Navarro, PharmD, MD, Vice Chancellor, Assistant Vice Chancellor Don Woodson, MEd, and MESA Director Anthony Amaro, Center for Science, Education & Outreach.
